Whole Foods Market bans 100+ ingredients for the greater (baked) good
You can feel good knowing that all the baked goods we sell meet our rigorous Quality Standards. That means decadent cookies, pies and brownies made without more than 100 artificial colors, preservatives, flavors and other ingredients like high-fructose corn syrup or partially hydrogenated oils.
If we bake it, you can bank on it.
We don’t forget the flour.
Many all-purpose white flours are bleached with benzoyl peroxide or bromated with the addition of potassium bromate. Not ours. We only bake with unbleached, unbromated flours that don’t chemically age or strengthen the gluten.
