Cricket in Cambodia
Cricket in Cambodia' Recently Cricket Federation Cambodia Association is registered in Ministry of Interiors Royal Government of Kingdom of Cambodia as cricket Sports association that signed the MoU with National Paralympic Committee of Cambodia as National Cricket governing Body to promote the Cricket Games in Cambodia. Cricket Federation Cambodia is the only registered Cricket Sports Association in Cambodia that have a legal status of an association.[1] Cricket in CambodiaCricket Federation Cambodia registered with Ministry of Interior, Royal Government of Cambodia got a legal status on 3rd Dec'2021. CFCA acts as a cricket Sports governing body of Cambodia established by Local Cambodia people headed by the President Sen Vitya a young Cambodian having good interest in cricket games. The Association has other members as Vice President, General secretary, Join Secretary and treasurer and other Board of directors. Recently, Cricket Federation Cambodia got affiliated with International Tennis Cricket Federation and organizing its First International Asia cricket cup 2022 dedicated on the Name of its Prime Minister Hun Sen/ The Cricket Cup Name is announce during a public conference by Cricket Federation Cambodia after having the official meeting with His Excellency Yi Vesana who is Advisor to Royal government of Cambodia and after his formal acceptance of the Tournament proposal submitted by Cricket Federation Cambodia.[2] [3] Cricket in Cambodia has been played mainly by foreign expatriates and recognised by very few locals.[4] Recent promotion of the sport has seen a growth in its popularity and the formation of clubs and associations.[5]
