Amazing! To me it makes me feel anguished, specially by not showing the face, the shadow is also very effective, and the pose is great. Really good atmosphere too.

Keep up the good work!

Since I’ve read once that most of r/art front page consist of « women naked body with no face », I can’t stop seeing it… The extreme length this piece goes to confirm the rule would be funny, if the rule wasn’t so sad.

I absolutely love this! I like that it doesn't have a face because it allows you to put any face you want on it in your mind. Love the details on the body as well.

Oh please put a face on it. The rest of the art is to nice to leave it so it looks unfinished or like your not capable of painting a face. Please.

I’m fairly certain the artist left out a face on purpose and by looking at their other works, it’s very clear they can portray faces in art very well. Stop making ignorant assumptions and scroll past the post if you don’t like it

I am certain the artist left out the face on purpose. Still does not change my opinion that the art would be better given a face.

Scroll past if you don't like it? I don't think so. Art is there to be critiqued, positively and negatively.

If you look at their other works, it’s very clear they know how to paint faces. However you claim that this one work reflects on the fact that they might not be capable of doing so, which is incorrect.

Critiquing art is usually fine, but how about you find a more respectful way of “critiquing” by maybe saying, “I can see where you’re going with the piece but maybe adding a face could have added to the appeal of it” or something like that. Instead of literally begging the artist like a whining child to add a face because you feel like they don’t know how to paint them if they don’t specifically insert one into this one piece.

Save your bleeding heart for someone who cares. I can critieq how i wish.

Yes, it is apparent that the artist knows how to paint faces. I have seen their other works.

I stand by my opinion that this piece of art looks unfinished and by it's self it does look like the artist does not know how to paint a face.

Having faces on bodies is just a preference of mine. So, get off my back.

You’re free to have your preferences, no one said you couldn’t have an opinion. Learn to be respectful, your personal opinion doesn’t grant you free reign to act like a child throwing a tantrum when you see something you don’t like, especially in a sub that literally has the rule, “Be Respectful” listed.

In my college art course, we had critique nights for all of our course peers and their projects, if one of us ever commented on someone’s work the way you did in this post, our professor would’ve been appalled and would’ve been quick to kick us out.

Maybe you and your art teacher could use a thicker skin. The art world is not all fluff and cotton candy.

Besides, I was critiquing the art. It's not like I made personal attacks against the artist's character.

Again, it’s called having respect, doesn’t mean you have to like what someone does but having common decency to be respectful shows that you’re a mature individual and that you’re secure in what you believe, clearly you’re not quite there yet…

Look, I have not made any disparaging or personal attacks of anyone. So, let's just stop it with calling people babies and making judgments of who is insecure. I hope you have a good rest of your day.

I was never anything but r e s p e c t f u l to you. You were the one coming out here having to tell me I needed a thicker skin and that I could go shove my bleeding heart somewhere else, all because you couldn’t stand the look of a painting and instead of simply scrolling, you had to inform ALL of us just how much it bothered you in the most immature way possible. Don’t try and shift the blame to someone else. Good day

See? You keep going in circles because you can never seem to just let your pride go and own up to it. I’m done talking to you. Go cry at other art that pisses you off, somewhere else preferably.
