*Along the shore the cloud waves break, The twin suns sink behind the lake, The shadows lengthen In Carcosa.

Strange is the night where black stars rise, And strange moons circle through the skies, But stranger still is Lost Carcosa.

Songs that the Hyades shall sing, Where flap the tatters of the King, Must die unheard in Dim Carcosa.

Song of my soul, my voice is dead, Die thou, unsung, as tears unshed Shall dry and die in Lost Carcosa.*

May I ask which program you used to make this?

Its many different ones. I mostly do my collages on my phone. The artwork I use for my collages is from those old 50s EC comics. First I cut the scans of the comics with an app called "Background eraser". After that I combine the collages with another app called "Face changer 2". Then I go to the App Pixlr, heighten the sharpnes to the max and put a black and white effect over it. Afterward I go to a site called Photomosh and there I Posterize my artwork and put differetnt effects and colours on it to see which ones best suited for the collage. Lastly I upscale the finished work. It would probably be easier to do all that in photoshop, but I kinda like how time consuming it is.

Sometimes I also draw on my collages to add extra detail. Here I had to draw a longer robe for the skeleton and also had to add those stars in it.

I love this! Are there any more details on your inspiration you’d be willing to share?

Im a huge fan of old vintage sci fi and horror comics: Weird Science, Tales from the crypt, Weird Fantasy. And also dark Italian horror comics like Dylan Dog and Martin Mystery. I also love the works of Michael Whelan, Frank Frazetta and Virgil Finlay. The collage art of Jack Kirby is pretty cool too and an influence aswell. This was mostly my attempt to make a Virgil Finlayesque collage.
