Sick! Is the monster's head inspired from War of the Worlds?

Thanks! No, the original monster witness descriptions all said it had a head in the shape of a spade, and this story is from the 1950's, so I'm guessing Hollywood has borrowed that from time to time.

The Legend of Zelda Majoras Mask has a sequence involving aliens inspired by the flatwoods monster. So cool. This is some sick work OP!

Fallout 76 interprets the Flatwoods monster as an alien.

Damn, that's an amazing interpretation, probably the best I've ever come across! Much more terrifying than the ones I'm used to seeing

Damn good job, creepy as hell. I love how you incorporated the owl details.

Thanks! That was a choice, considering some people dismissed the reports as just a barn owl and shadows.

Didn't you used to call this one the Wendigo? I liked it when I first saw it a few months back. Why the name change?

langleyeffect OP t1_iwem0wa wrote

Nope, this one is based on the Flatwoods Monster, and I've only ever called it that.
