Eye is a great piece.

What's with animating it though??

If you look into the eye the animation of the drawing gives depth to the iris and the skull inside the pupil, making it seem like it’s REALLY in there. It may not have been necessary, but it provides for a much more complex piece.

Whoa, this looks for real 3D.

Looks 3d but...

..closing one eye actually enhances the 3d effect. Might seem counter intuitive since we use two eyes for stereo vision but for flat images single eye seems to tricks the brain more effectively into computing 3d imagery.

MC Escher is one of my favorite artists. He defies perspectives especially in his stairs photos.

The skull in the photo looks deep. Ahead of his time. Brilliant!

The shakiness of the eye is scarier than the skull reflected in it.
