could you explain a little more about the foreshortening the feet please, like did you mean making them smaller for the perspective?

yeah, if you are going for realism, which this art style isn’t usually used for. but if you look at the face and left hand as closest to the viewer, they would be the biggest, and the right hand is halfway to the feet, but about the same size as the left. then there’s the little chiba feet.

the beauty of art though is you can do what you like, so long as you feel like you made that choice on purpose

edit: foreshortening can appear different depending on the viewing method, so maybe both hands are fine and then the feet are too small. you can understand what i mean by this by thinking of a camera: the size of the aperture, lens, and distance all work together differently, but in all of it, the base reference point is how things look natural to the human eye

well ur right, my style is like a mix between realism and anime but im honestly still in my experimental phase and trying to see what works the best, the face is what i like but i feel like if i stray too much of a cartoon feel then it’ll look childish, but i also want it to look realistic

so are you suggesting that i should have made the right hand smaller since i made the feet so small as well?
