I think the concept of AI as a tool is cool, as long as it is recognized as AI I think people make the assumption that it's a product of multiple different pieces by multiple different artists so I don't necessarily see AI as dishonest or stealing to those who understand how it works. I will always credit the parts of my work that aren't 100% original, although I admittedly don't know the origin of this pattern. Possibly an unknown Babushka who has long passed away. I think using other peoples art to create more art is subjective, if somebody mashes several pieces of art together, is it their piece? It's their compilation/composition but the credit leans 99% on the original creators. If an artist made a more unique composition that includes another artist's work in a minor way, as long as credit is given where necessary I can appreciate all creators' contributions and the piece as a whole. To me there are grey areas, but I advocate always to allot credit where and when it is due. This is my individual view and I expect that other people may see it differently, and that's okay. As long as nobody is benefiting by taking somebody else's credit then no harm no foul I think.

That's a fair and reasonable opinion and I appreciate it! I think the difficulty with AI, the decent stuff not some crappy app, is that it would be impossible to credit every source of work that went into one image because a) it's probably a LOT, and b) the computer might not even know.
