Real, raw, and perfect. The world needs more of this.

Is it kinda cool to see different bodies represented? Yes. Is it still just a headless, limbless, emotionless, female torso that we've all seen a million times and absolutely plagues this subreddit? Also yes.

This isn’t my body type, but seeing those stretch marks made me feel seen. I’ve got a lot of them on the places you illustrated in the painting, and always felt rather insecure about it, but this made me feel a lot better! Thank you for making this!

A refreshing take on the headless nude female torso. Chubbier, uneven, stretch marks. It feels real and relatable.

I mean onto you are responsible for your health. The art above for examples looks like a postpartum body though. I hope your partner never has to put up with your body ideals.

How did you know it was a postpartum body? Stretch marks do not equal the postpartum body. And it is not necessary to switch to personalities at all. I wish you good luck to finally become happy ;)

Sagging breast, extra stomach chub, enlarged areolas, and stretch marks along the stomach. Source: I had to help my mother after several births. My personality has not switched I simply used another side of it. I think the reason many have downvoted is because not everyone is attractive. I mean, if we were all attractive none of use would be. Not everyone also eats the sled to an unhealthy body. Some people have healthy bodies that aren’t exactly seen as attractive. Point being people like seeing realistic bodies. Not every man is perfectly chiseled in muscles and every woman is stuck thin with huge curves. People just like not being held to impossible standards. Also I think the last thing to mention is this is an art piece. Art is meant to be art. I don’t think the artist wanted to cause a body image war lol

Get over in what? I am already perfect with a perfectly trained body. I am annoyed by your commercialism and unwillingness to change. My mother, after three births (I am the middle child in the family), spat on your "post-pregnancy body standards" and is now in great shape, she is almost 50. You justify this with a body positivity or genetic features, although even scientists have proven that only people with acute illnesses cannot lose weight after pregnancy, I keep in touch. You are terrible people with double standards, I wish YOU to get over your complexes and finally go to the gym

Why does your obsession with your own body seep into hatred for those who do not lead a similar life to the one you do?

A “perfect body” isn’t within range for most people. People can lose weight and still have loose skin. With age we will all sag, wrinkle, our skin will thin and become soft.

The illness thing is true, but someone can have a sudden onset of an illness or a need to take a medication that causes rapid weight gain. Can they lose it? Often times yes. However they may not be able to look exactly as they did and they may have to entirely change the way they eat and take care of themselves. (Like women with PCOS, for example. You’d assume strenuous exercise gives be best results but this hormonal imbalance requires slower exercise. If cortisol levels spike from intense exercise it makes the condition worse. This isn’t something commonly known even though 1/5 women have the condition)

Some of the highest prescribed medication in the western world is terrible for weight gain. It’s also horrible for killing a persons will and drive. Really bad combination.

Why does it matter though? What a different persons buddy looks like doesn’t change your life in any way.

Regardless, what someone else’s body looks like really shouldn’t create the level of hatred you have for others who don’t spend hours in the gym each week.

Consumerism? What on earth does consumerism have to do with not having your head up your ass? You literally refer to yourself as perfect twice there so…. Pretty safe to say your head is quite far up there

It's true, I'm perfect and proud of it) Well, you are looking for aesthetics in these bodies, which is in the post above. I repeat, good luck with everything, I don't want to talk to you. I am very sorry that you spent so much time writing this long essay to me. Good luck

[deleted] t1_j5eyhti wrote

Lmao, texting a few paragraphs on mobile only takes a few minutes. Don’t worry about the time I spent.

You sound like the kind of guy who would weigh his girlfriend every day and try to control her food based on what you believe would make her “perfect”. Good luck with that.

As you get older and mature a little bit you’ll realize the world is a lot more complex than what you perceive as perfect people and flawed people.

Until then, have fun I guess

Again, as you grow and mature you’ll realize there’s a lot more grey area in life. There isn’t as clear lines between weak and strong as you seem to think. Once you go through enough life experiences hopefully you’ll be able to develop a bit more of a compassionate mind.
