wow!! i especially like the "suction hooks" (is that what they're called??), that level of percise detail jusy astounds me. how did you make them so, well, perfect? i'm curius about your technique. the bright colors make it pop so much! the subject is really dynamic and "alive", so kudos to you!! :)

Thanks! They're called suckers or suction cups, as far as I know (English is not my native language.)

The uniformity that I've achieved here, I feel is especially a product of practice. It's done by hand, it takes some carefulness. I've been sculpting octopus regularly since 2017. Eventually you get a feel for the material and how to handle it. I love the result and the look of this pain-staking method, it does test my patience but it is worth it to me.

The bright and vibrant colors of this species are so beautiful, they're also a warning sign. The blue-ringed octopus is possibly the most venomous octopus in the seas but fortunately they're rather docile!
