Depends on where I'm located. In Portland, I'd go see a concert or go to Oaks Amusement Park and make sure to eat well. I can easily get there from Springfield for about $20 round trip on Bolt Bus and have plenty of leftover money to have fun.
If I was in Las Vegas, I'd go to the Adventuredome and other Halloween places during October.
Lots of concerts, trying new restaurants, theme parks, hiking, etc.
