We would find a nice stick and adorn it with various fruits, trinkets, and symbols. The more items present showed increased awareness, intelligence, and thoughtfulness in the concept. These sticks are then given to the girl of the young males choice. The young male would then perform a dance and song that expressed the emotion and drive in creating the stick. The young lady, adorned with multiple sticks and a swarm of male suitors could only choose one. The smartest of the males were not always chosen, but did wisely choose to sharpen their sticks to a point. This is because if the female did not choose that mate, his stick was thrust into his thigh by the females father (or other chosen parental guardian). Unfortunately, the males who chose not to sharpen their sticks, due to either hubris or lack of wit (or a combination of the two), were brutally stabbed with a dull stick in the thigh.

The mate the female did choose, was adorned a kiss upon the forehead and eternal happiness.
