I honestly don't know, I question myself every time I do

I think it comes from a desire to appear virtuous

Though I never tell anyone about good deeds I do since that seems kinda disgusting to do. And I don't want to have only done a good deed for the purpose of impressing people, which seems to contradict what I just said

Idk, morality confuses me and I guess I've just kind of resigned myself to doing good when I can because why not, it's probably beneficial
