Let them know you are there but if they dismiss your help, let it be.

Invite them to do something that has nothing to do with what they’re going through.

Yeah, I'm not trying to give him any advice. His life is his own to live, and it doesn't seem like he's having too many problems he couldn't solve himself.

Make sure they know that you'll always be there for them. But like, seriously. Also make sure to show you're love to them.
