When I consume visual media it is typically educational or logic-based content instead of imaginative content. That's not to say that there's anything wrong with anime it's just not something my mind easily wants to absorb or take in so I just can't get into it enough to invest any real time or interest.

I don't care much for the stylization. The nosebleeds, faceplants, drooling, dramatic screaming, smirking, and casual pedophilia just don't appeal to me. Obviously not all anime is like this, but I don't feel any motivation to filter them out. Ghost in the Shell was cool though.

As soon as I see a loli it makes me squint my eyes in pain and never want to watch anime again

It's boring to me, and all the high pitch voices hurt my ears. Been an issue since I was a kid.

Same reason why I'm not open to eating indian food, go bunji jumping, or go on a 2,000 mile treck.

I have interests. Pursuing them gives me more satisfaction that doing those things.

Not opposed to it, but the culture just seems so weird. I'm sure the shows are great but the people who watch seem cultish from the outside and I don't care for that.
