I worked as a manager in a retail store, during the holiday season it usually is really busy. This little boy lost his parents in the crowd and was crying pretty hard. I saw this and asked where his parents where, he had no clue, i took his hand and walked up and down the store untill i found his parents.

When i reached his parents, they saw i was holding the kids hand and they started yelling at me, how dare I holding it. A grown man and a kid, i must be predator. They swore never to come in my store again ans would spread the word that i was a Predator.

If i was a woman bringing back the kid, there would be no problem. Just as a man you are always seen as a predator as soon as you get near kids that arent yours.

I don't know about sexism, but I guess that some times there's a pretty uneven gender gap!

At work, customers seem to generally be more cheerful and warm to women coworkers of mine.

I believe that the general public assumes that because I'm a man that I'm not into cheerful and warm greetings.

Honestly, nothing much of consequence. I find the whiny ‘woah is me!’-ing of a lot of men on Reddit pretty nauseating.

It hurts when people assume I can't be emotional or vulnerable because I'm a man. #maleprivilegeexposed
