yes definitely, eventually we'll be dependent on technology. examples are if the sun goes out (which i highly doubt we would even be alive for that to happen) we would need some technology to create artificial light, however everything and anything can malfunction and that'll be the doom of us

It depends on diplomacy. These days, I would not be shocked if World War 3 kicked off, but then again we've gotten past tension before. I'd call it 50/50.
