What is the condition? If you don't mind me asking.

I have autonomic neuropathy, which for me means that, when I stand up, my blood pressure spikes dangerously high, I get heart palpitations and facial flushing, and I feel nauseated.

If I then have to walk anywhere - which, you know, most folks do even at home, like to the bathroom - I then become out of breath and the nausea turns to vomiting if I don't sit down right away.

If the weather is hot, even with a/c inside just standing up is nearly impossible.

This illness came on suddenly in 2015 and worsened to the point where I felt I had to buy a wheelchair.

It's not fun, but I have to believe I can at least try to make it better, since the doctors are like, "Sorry, all we can do is treat symptoms."

My doctor gave me the ok to exercise and recommended either water aerobics or recumbent stationary bikes, but with water aerobics, I'm still standing up so...what would happen?

And I have no room so I would go to a gym to do stationary biking but...what would they say to me showing up in a wheelchair? Would they allow it? Could someone "spot" me when going from wheelchair to bike, or vice versa?

So many logistical questions. But I have to do something!!
