I typically go inside to pick it up, and sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. Depends on a few factors. Is this a regular place I visit? Were the front desk people friendly? Did i have to wait longer than promised? How attractive is the cashier, etc.

I usually tip 10 percent or more at curbside, but I loathe toxic tip culture - I just feel so guilty not doing it.

This is how I am. I hateee tipping because it’s just the company putting cost on us but I feel so bad when I don’t

I don't tip, but that's because no one does here

Why would I tip someone for doing their job?

I typically don’t tip servers, they lose balance.
(Edit: For those that don’t know what a joke is: I didn’t say anything about believing in no gratuity, so to answer I would aim for 10-15% unless someone shows as an outlier)

At minimum, 15% of the order total.
If you can’t afford to tip appropriately don’t order out.
Domillomew t1_j2fdod3 wrote
0% is appropriate.

The server still prepped and bagged your order, and then schlepped it out to your lazy ass in the car. If you don’t want to tip the people who wait on you keep you ass at home and cook for yourself.

So the server did their job? Wow amazing. Should I give you my PayPal so you can tip me for doing my job?

Do the world a favor and stay home. The world is better off without people like you.

You have literally no argument you can make in favor of tipping so you're just lashing out at me. You don't tip the vast majority of people that provide you with a service. I guarantee you've never tipped the cashier at the grocery store.
[deleted] OP t1_j2ffi2w wrote
Servers in restaurants rely on tips as part of their wages. Grocery store clerks don’t. That’s the way it is. Acting like a petulant child won’t change that.
You can act like an asshole all you want but at the end of the day you’re only hurting a low paid worker who is on their feet for hours and hours every shift.
Domillomew t1_j2fg02e wrote
The employer relies on you tipping so they don't have to pay them. Servers make minimum wage as a minimum just like many checkout employees.

All you've done is act like an asshole in every fucking post.

depends if they look like they're having a rough day.
Every curbside waitress is going to approach you with a big smile, and wave. But I typically don't tip unless it looks like they're struggling. Which does happen a lot.
I'll tip around 10-20 bucks
