Some places yes or places no if you walk into a nice neighborhood where everything looks new and newer cars everywhere with blacked out windows get out of there cause those people probably deal with dangerous things and don’t go walking around flexing expensive things you are more likely to get robbed pretty quickly. I’ve seen people get robbed right outside the airport. So I recommend to stay in area’s where there are a lot of tourist, stay in a resort, or if you want to explore have a tour guide who has knowledge of areas to go and not to go. But In my experience it’s a generally safe country with very nice people. But again I’m biased since I’m from there and i know everyone in my neighborhood and everyone knows me.

I'm sure it's a place with beautiful and pleasant people 😊 I'll take into account a guide for the visit and do you recommend a specific part?

Punta Caña-amazing resort

Santo Domingo-the capital

El camp- the countryside with amazing views of nature with fruit trees all over the place. Go up to a mango tree and pick as many free, natural, organic tropical mangos and many other fruits

Playa Boca Chica- beautiful white sand and clear water beach

Los Mameyes- my home, my neighborhood everyone is friendly and has amazing street food but sometimes it can be a bit dangerous so keep caution
