I think the only really defensible position is that adult human beings have the right to decide what they put into their body, even if it’s bad for them.

I'd think that people who defend a clearly unhealthy habit, are much more likely to defend other unhealthy habits anyway. Much like how conspiracy theorists tend to fall for other conspiracy theories easily.

Smoking is more addictive and generally far worse for you than a bad diet. Also eating is a necessary part of survival, so the line isn’t so clear cut.

I think you made a typo, you mean "what could be more interesting than making a million posts on askreddit that are often inaccurate and mildly annoying, but otherwise do nothing to impact the world whatsoever and certainly don't make me feel better about the poor choices I make in my own life despite how much I wish they did. Trying to goad people who I dislike because of their lifestyle is all I have but I'm not even very good at it"
