Women have more options? Men have plenty of options. If anything, every time I'm in a relationship, and it's evident to women, they seem to hit on me more. Women are even nicer to me in public if I'm with a woman - it's like they think, "Ok, so he can't be completely terrible if a woman is willing to put up with him."

Men really think that women consider "options" to include someone who doesn't care if you live or die, like as a person.

Sure, if you want to put up with abusive or dehumanizing treatment from someone you met on the street, women have plenty of options. So do men.
