Not avoid, but if you are planning to go to Disney World in Florida, make a plan. Spend a lot of time researching and planning your days and how you attack the parks.

Also Cocoa Beach. Go to like any other beach.

Cocoa Beach sucks. My friends are going on a cruise from Port Canaveral and asked me what they should do on their day in that area. KSC, yes. Cocoa Beach, hell no.
