Babylon zoo - spaceman

Goes shit at 33 seconds in.

It came out in 1996 which was peak UK rave seen. The first 32 seconds make it sound like its going to be good. Then it turns into this scifi grungy shit.

Oh deep cut, sir. The scifi grungy shit worked for me, but it's definitely a left turn from the intro.

I really appreciate what Debbie Harry was trying to do, but Blondie's Rapture is such a fucking banger until her endearing white girl rap kicks in.

Yeah, I understand you. I actually like her silly rap, but I am not thrilled by the lyrics.

Watching Me Fall by The Cure.

It starts absolutely awesome, with all the guitars, keyboards, drums, basses and wonderful lyrics sung by Robert Smith, but then after what feels like two minutes, there's just silence and my clock inexplicably starts bullshitting me that 11 minutes have actually passed while I was listening to the song.

Something happened on the way to heaven by Phil Collins.

The first twenty seconds are great and energizing to get going, and then the song just falls flat on its face.

I have Tek It by Cafeuné on my playlist and have to skip it after the second minute because it turns into this weird autotuned voice.

The Day I Met Marie by Cliff Richard starts as a beautiful ballad and suddenly turns into some kind of dixieland polka party.

Krystaline by Alkaline Trio slaps but there’s like a minute of dissonant atmospheric sounds at the end.

Baba O'Riley is amazing until the lyrics start. The rest of the song is not terrible but the opening is brilliant and the rest cannot live up to it.

Chariots of Fire has a similar problem. The opening is so amazing the rest of it is a let down.

Putting on the Ritz by Taco has a weird section in the middle.

I swear I ALWAYS forget about that part of Puttin' on the Ritz. I don't hate it but it's pretty jarring.
