The best option would be to not buy a combo. A combo is either good at only one thing or bad at both.

Maybe I shouldn’t have used the word combo. I’m looking for advice on a washer/dryer set, as in separate machines, not conjoined ones or one of those weird all in one washer/dryers. My wife saw how pretty the LG “stacked” single panel washer/dryer combos looked and I just said “what if the dryer kicks the bucket?”

Well I do have an lg washer but a samsung dryer that we just bought, can't say anything bad yet, the dryer works great but is a bit noisy. The washer we have for 2 years, only problem I've got is that you can't really clean the drum and over time there might be gunk that gets in all the wrong places.

If you have the money however, go for BIFL brands and don't look back.
