I would buy my gear from Walmart before buying anything owned by Bass Pro.

I used to work at Cabelas, the redhead is similar to carhartt, it’ll last but the colors do fade. I quit a few months after it was acquired by bass pro and everything that wasn’t workwear went downhill. The denim isn’t nearly as good. But trust me, if you can find old stuff it’ll last for life. Don’t recommend giving anything bass pro your business, Cabelas went from a great company to work for- fair labor, good discount, private company and great incentives to absolute trash. They may have been wearing camo 3 piece suits (not joking, the owners were very present in all on boarding videos wearing full camouflage suits and ties) but they actually cared. They were the type of republicans that practiced what they preached, looked after company and employees.

I've got a couple Cabela's branded shirts that I picked up in like new quality from Goodwill a few years ago. I've worn them a lot, and they show basically no wear. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find the exact shirt anywhere (including online at Cabela's). I'd buy more if I could find them.

And asking this is silly. Near zero brands make an entire line of BIFL stuff. Once you branch out, your quality branches out as you cannot be a jack of all trades.

Their hunting rain gear is actually some of the best available.

In my experience the Cabela's branded stuff tends to just be a rebranded version of the mainstream product in that category.

Blackout compound bows are made by other manufacturers (Bear, Diamond) and are of good quality.

I can attest to the fishing gear, solid stuff, stay away from the line. Everything else varies wildly in quality.

Bass Pro/Cabela’s is a crapshoot if you’re looking for quality. They charge MSRP for non-Bass Pro brands while selling bottom tier trash at prices you’d pay for the other quality brands online. Then when the season is over they mark them down to prices that make sense for junk like a corporate garage sale but they only have things from China.

The Bass Pro bait casting reels were made by Pfleuger back in the day and I swore by them. Not sure if that’s still the case because….I haven’t needed to buy any in quite a while.

The answer is no. Especially on their clothing. Cabelas used to make some quality things, redhead and Bass Pro brands are junk. Once Bass Pro bought Cabelas they began phasing out Cabelas lines of products. It’s sad because you really could get some great quality.

I don't think you can really make a blanket statement on their brands as a whole. I find that some BPS/Cabelas stuff is awesome, and some of their stuff is absolute garbage. Even within categories, it's super hit and miss. I've had BPS/Cabelas brand hunting jackets that barely made it two seasons, and I had one that lasted from a young teen till I outgrew it.
Overall, I tend to view their stuff as worth the risk if I can put hands on it in a store, but I wouldn't vouch for it without first hand use. Their return policy has been great, unless something changed in the past year or so, so it's not a bad risk so long as you're not concerned about the stuff likely ending in the land fill.

I bought some overalls from bass pro a few years ago. They held together significantly better than any of my fancy first lite stuff.
As another commenter said, your best bang for the buck is the cheapest department store bs possible. The fancy stuff is mostly just for rich dudes to flex.
Spend more on boots and outer layers. Otherwise just run whatever.

I think it is a mixed bag of quality. Some of the Cabelas branded stuff is very high end - tents, some of their clothes. Store branded shoes mostly not very good. Redhead branded clothes is garbage imo. The Bass Pro branded fishing stuff is good. So it is kind of ymmv and it depends on the product. I will say Bass Pro buying out Cabelas was a big negative for Cabelas quality/return policies/etc…
