Look into a merino wool buff. It can be used in different ways, eye mask included. That’s on my list next time I need to replace my eye mask.

As I stated on my comment, I plan on replacing my eye mask with a buff. I have used a shirt or towel when I travel and forget my eye mask, and it works fine. For me personally, I just need something/anything over my eyes.

Mine have adjustable elastic straps. When they stretch, takes 5 seconds to make them tighter. Don't know brands off of the top my head, but the design is definitely present in many models online. They get so little wear, not sure I'd ever need to replace. Stitching has remained 100% for about a year and a half.

Seconded. I have a cheap multipack from Amazon and if they stretch a little I just tighten them. It will take a long time before they're completely stretched.

Something like that would be easy to convert to a Velcro strap even if you don’t have a sewing machine. You can get something in a fabric store called “double fold bias tape” or “double fold bias binding” (they also make fleece binding if you prefer). It’s no more than 1/2” wide and can easily be stitched on with 4-5 stitches each side in place of elastic. If you have some of those Velcro cord wraps, they would be a better choice than the regular Velcro for this purpose. It’s lower profile and about as wide as the bias binding. Cut and sew a little square or rectangle on each end of your binding to hold your mask around your head.

Haven’t seen any support for Manta yet. I really like their style with the cups that don’t press on your eyes. The strap is velcro, so should solve the problem you’re looking to solve. I haven’t tried the newest version, but they older ones are excellent. Definitely would recommend them.

Switch to a nitehood. I have the adjustable one and have been using it for years. It blocks out everything, and doesn't pop off your head. It's amazing.

I've been using the tube bandanas. Work great, a 10 pack cost peanuts and they last a loooong time.
