Cheapest Quality Mini-Fridge

So I want to get a mini-fridge for my room to keep specifically Blue Diamond Almond Breeze Unsweetened Almond Milk because I drink so much of it and hate it when everyone else in the house drinks some of mine. I’m devising a plan to buy an entire crate of the stuff, keep it in a secret mini-fridge in my room and fuel my addiction to the second best god damn milk in the world without having to share (In the words of Rumple Stiltskin: “Nobody’s smart but me!”)

I’m looking on Amazon and all I’m seeing is the small mini fridges under the name Frigidaire which I don’t know too much about other than making very nostalgic looking products, which kinda worries me because usually stuff made to cash in on nostalgia isn’t very well made (Just look at the Victrola record players, been there, done that!) and I’m trying not to break the bank exactly.

The price range is kinda challenging but just like a game of limbo, I wanna see how low we can go.

What does everyone recommend for a decent mini fridge that can keep the milk cool but still be reliable?

A lot of the time nut-based milks don't need to be refrigerated until opened. You could check to see if the kind you like is shelf-stable or comes in a shelf-stable variety.

You may be able to avoid buying a fridge entirely.

Best time to buy (used) is when college kids are done for the year in May. If you can drive around on or near a college campus you may be able to score in for free.

If savings is the aim, best to make your own almond milk or have a conversation with your housemates.

SPT makes excellent mini-appliances for refrigeration, however your budget is so very low it's almost untenable. Excluding second hand I really couldn't tell you what to do.

You're looking for "cheap" and that's not really how BIFL works.

The best BIFL mini fridges are around $1000. If you want a mini fridge for that price, stick to used. How long do you expect to use this thing anyway? Does it really need to be BIFL?

That being said, look for Engel car fridges used.

I have a mini fridge in my home office that’s from Frigidaire. It does not have a freezer section. Going strong very quiet. I’m happy with it. Mini is a bit of a misnomer because it’s very unwieldy and weighs probably around 60 pounds. Are you looking for one of those toy mini fridges that can hold like 6 cans? They’re all pretty cheap just buy whatever you can and roll the dice.

Yeah pretty much, except I’m looking to hold the small containers of Blue Diamond Almond Breeze Unsweetened Almond Milk which are slightly larger than a couple of cans. As long as it can hold those I’m totally fine, but I don’t wanna buy it and suddenly it’s a cooler and not a fridge that keeps itself cool.

Ive seen them before in the office for almond milk you're probably fine... there is probably some BIFL lab spec one for exact temps tho.... the $25 ones are I assume not BIFL but may get the job done.

Purchased a Black and Decker from Wal-Mart for son in college, going on 15 years. Only advise is to purchase a compressor style as opposed to solid state. Had to purchase solid state for daughters college (Eco happy), replaced 2 before purchasing a compressor unit for her, its now 10 years old and still running.
