It’s a good $200 boot. It is not, as they advertise, a $500 boot for $200

Anvil Rose (YouTuber who cuts boots in half to assess the construction) did a video on their chukka. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=2tWoUbBGHK0

I was stoked to get a pair, went to their nearest location, and stood in the store for 20 minutes trying to talk to a salesperson before giving up and leaving. Not sure if it was just that location, or just that day, but their operations were so poorly run it makes me question the rest of company enough to not want the boots anymore.

I've had mine a couple years and am still very happy with them. Not an expert but the leather and construction seem to be high quality. They've broken in well and they've held up far better than most other boots I've owned. Worth the price in my opinion.

If you want good dressy boots on a budget, they're worth it. Good work boots on a similar budget are Thorogoods...

Jim Green is a very good brand to consider too. Simpler and goofy compared to the Thursdays, but cheaper and very comfortable and meant as real work boots (like, no fake toe caps on Jim Greens, while on Thursdays they're just for the style...)

I wore my Captain boot yesterday for thee first time and they are incredibly comfortable and I loved it. I'd recommend them especially if you want a boot that looks professional. Way better than a Clark or something along those lines. Make sure you go down half a size from your normal shoe size.

I bought a pair of the captain boots in 2018 and they are the most comfortable boots I have. I do maintain them but it’s 30 minutes of work every 3-4 months. Warm and waterproof in the PNW and they’ve perfectly formed to my foot. No leaks, no loose seams or cracked leather. As long as the manufacturing quality hasn’t changed I would absolutely buy another pair

They’re probably the best option if you don’t want to pay $500 for a true lifelong boot manufactured to an artisanal level. I’ve had my pair about a year and they’ve broken in well, and I’m very happy with the leather’s patina even over that short time. They’re also about as cheap as goodyear welted boots come. It’s just a question of budget.

My friend owns the company so I’m biased but I LOVE mine. Comfortable. Durable. Worth the investment imo

You get what you pay for. They are at the lower end of the Goodyear Welted price scale for a reason. They are also mass produced so it’s best in this case to purchase them in person so you can visually inspect them first. I personally would not waste my money on something in this price range because better can be purchased. Then again there are those not even willing to pay what it cost to purchase something in this price range. You just have to figure out what your expectations are and what your willing to pay for. Personally my expectations are higher and I have no problem spending more to get better.

We have no idea as worth is a metric comprised of exposing your financial records to the internet + exposing your emotions on this matter to the internet. I just spent $1000 on used seats for my 20 year old car....worth it? If you want to see my tax records and have an hour long conversation, I'll gladly share if you message me.

Any boots that can be recrafted are BIFL as that's the standard. Most Thursday offerings meet this.

Worth is a YOU question.
