Did that with my DW5600 and it's great. Thought I lost it so I bought another one. I ended up finding it 2 years later at my girlfriends house and the time was still in sync with my phone.

My dw6900 lost 2 mins in about 7 years, considering that I’ve yet to change the battery I’m pretty happy with that.
