Men’s winter boots and gloves that are somewhat stylish

I need new new winter boots, previously I had Timberland boots, but they’re starting to wear down. I was hoping to find boots that are good for Midwest weather for shoveling snow, walking on Icey driveways/sidewalks, and are waterproof and warm. Preferably shoes that don’t look too bad that can be worn into an office and can handle 0 degree Fahrenheit weather.

Along with that I’m also looking for gloves/mittens where when I’m shoveling my hands don’t get cold under the gloves.

Minnesotan here Danner mountain 600 for boots. Any danner boot really but I absolutely love mine.

Love danner. Their leather is very good. I also really like their city boot. It's stylish for getting around in jeans and waterproof.

I have a pair of leather Kinco mittens that are super warm. I’ve always liked logger style boots for winter. I’ve been using a pair of Red Wing 219(I believe) for the past 3-4 years.

Yep. I'll also suggest Kinco for warm, durable gloves. Easy to waterproof with sno seal if needed. Most of the cat drivers, lifties and maintenance employees at ski resorts in my area use them. I have been using the same pair for years.

Not lifetime, but Baffin has a soft shell boot that is going into winter #7 this year. The only blemishes are the arch on the right boot has torn tread from shoveling concrete work. No effect on comfort or warmth

Lots of people answering the boot question. For gloves, mittens will always be warmer because they keep your fingers together and better insulated but I prefer the dexterity of gloves. I have glove liners from wsi sports (made in USA) and both lined and unlined gloves from Sullivan Glove (also made in USA). Depending on the weather and activity type, I choose whether I want lined or unlined gloves and whether I need liners.

Trigger mitt is a good compromise between glove and mitten. Dexterity enough to work a zipper and warm because your pinkie finger has two friends.

For shovelling boots forget style just get high, and 100% waterproof not water resistant.

For gloves though, I really like Hestra leather gloves, like those for example.n For me they fall right into that well-insulated yet not bulky balance. I originally bought those for skiing but they ended-up being used almost daily in the Quebec winter.

If op likes the look but not the price, stop at your local hardware store for some insulated work gloves and melt in some sno seal.

Ok I'm not sure about stylish. But baffin boots are the most comfortable & warm ones Ive used.
