The only leather jacket I ever saw that I would consider buy it for life was a friends Harley Davidson that was made out of bison hide or something. It was very thick and dated back from the sixties.
I have been looking for anything like it. No luck. Maybe something custom made would suit, but I can't afford that.

Aero Leather, made in Galashiels, Scotland. The guy at Johnson Leather who tailored my bespoke leather jackets in San Francisco (and who made the ones used in George Lucas' THX1138, among others) speaks very highly of them.

Ebay second hand is probably the best place if you want something affordable. That would be the first place I would look anyway.

Hack from Germany is excellent. They are also sold on Manufactum who in general are great curators of BIFL products.

ebay, old schott, will last forever. Aero are excellent but pricey, lewis leathers too maybe.
We had a local maker here, and I bought a few of his, heavy leather will easily last 100 years if you feed it every few years.

I've seen the question posed but can only see options from the states in replies.
Thinking of something like a Barbour hunting jacket... But in leather.
