They sell millions of items, some of them from brands this sub likes like All Clad and others. They also sell lots and lots of trash.

Amazon is just a way to buy stuff. You discover the stuff you want to buy elsewhere and if Amazon happens to sell it for a good price you buy it there.

Yes, but 0 people have time to list the 10,000 BIFL items on there as we have zero idea of what you need. If you want new skillets or jeans, then state so....otherwise, me describing in detail how Dynalon spray bottles are there and amazing when you don't give a shit about a $40 spray bottle is wasting everyone's time.

Don’t support Amazon and buy elsewhere. Your liable to get a fake of something

Idk if it’s necessarily BIFL but IMO the only things worth buying specifically from Amazon would be their Amazon Basics products, which are essentially rip offs of already popular items. I bought a paper shredder several years ago which has held up really well. I’d only look to Amazon Basics for those similarly random items that you just need to get the job done rather than things you want to invest in.

Their stock. That's about it.

Just type in BIFL (name of item) Reddit. Look at what is the most recommended. Then type that in Amazon. If they have it, great. If not, look elsewhere.

I bought my Frieling French press from there, pretty sure Chemex also sells on there via FBA.

Theres not much BIFL about amazon, maybe some brands are on there but their business model of mass consumption is pretty much antithetical to BIFL
