I have loved my polypropylene rug to pieces over a decade, but the wear and tear of time is showing more and more rapidly with vacuuming.

I'm not sure what the style would be called so I posted the photo of my rug. Sadly it's discontinued or id buy another.

I bought a safavieh novelty wool rug for my entry way and it's held up super well. So I think wool will be the next upgrade.

I'm located in NJ but am more than willing to buy online. My budget is around 800. I'd like to stick to a similar style as the picute but I also found this beautiful rug from yaya and like the style and vibrancy.

Any recommendations for brands to look at would be great!

Sorry I don't have any suggestions, but I'm in the same boat looking for something similar. Unfortunately, I don't have anywhere near that budget so I might have to get lucky at the thrift store. Still interested to see what brands people have in mind. Good luck!

This post will seem to shit on your question, but please read it with kindness.

Your budget does not support a BIFL wool rug. Those START at 4 digits and are generally not associated with brands as they are made by humans.

So this is where you hit up google and find something that is not BIFL and fits your budget and your size and your aesthetic requirements.

I will take your cost suggestion under advisement as it fits what have seen. About 1500 is where I'm seeing things I am semi interested in. The longer the search takes, the more I will able to save to meet all 3 requirements (cost, size and asthetic).

Estate sales often have high end rugs that are hand knotted but look very soiled sometimes so they don't get noticed. A professional pressure wash cleaner can bring them back to life. They last generations!

I do love thrift shopping, I'll have to look for estate sales. I assume I should be looking for estate sales that are in high income areas for good rugs. If you (or others) have extra guidance, I would be open to it!

Not necessarily high income. Many folks I know with rugs like this are regular people in the suburbs and they used to belong to grandparents. They didn't used to cost so much 50-100 years ago. But! I have seen them literally rolled up and left in the street in rich neighborhoods for people to take. 2 in the last month! (I don't have room or I would've taken them) Often furniture is left out the same way. If you have a high end area take a drive or stroll through at 3-4pm. I don't know why but it's the magic hour in our town.
