If I persuade anyone to get a pair, you should know that the sizing runs 1 size small, so size up. Also, they will make your feet smell terrible even if you don’t have smelly feet. I suggest buying ballet socks!

Edit- You definitely need an entire size up

I'm a 9 in every other brand. This style, I cant wear the 9s, my poor toes are squished so, so painfully. A 10 would probably work but it's very frustrating to so badly missize an online brand.

I have a 9.5 and every now and then do wish I would’ve opted for a 10, good call. I agree, I don’t understand how they are so consistently off one size

They have an awesome return/exchange, when I got my first pair I only did half size, I went online to do the exchange and dropped them off and the exchange pair shipped as soon as they scanned it in. I think it was a specific FedEx location

Yes their sizing is insane. I am a 9.5 wide so my first few pairs (including points) are a 10.5. I really should’ve bought 11s or 11.5 in the points. I have settled that in the future with the flats that the 11 does fit me better. I actually prefer the flat to the point tbh. I have one pair of 11 flats. I would sell my 10.5s but they haven’t re released what I want to replace the smaller ones with yet (red camo, copper, and Python fig) and probably won’t. Bummer.

If you want a cure... before you put them on, use hand sanitizer on your feet. My vibrams used to smell like death. Then I read about the hand sanitizer trick, and the smell is like 80 to 90 percent gone.

Ugh my gosh, Vibrams. I kept my pair outside. That’s bonkers though, hand sanitizer! I wonder if rubbing alcohol would work the same, you can use it as deodorant in a pinch

I used to use rubbing alcohol on my shoes, it absolutely does work although it gives them a slightly different whiff - but it’s not obnoxious.

This is because the alcohol kills the bacteria on your skin from the sweat that actually causes the stink.

This ideation can also be used on your underarms. I keep a small spray bottle with alcohol in it that I spray on my pits and lightly dab off. This basically kills the stink. I then apply my deodorant. Mama don't have no stinky pits no more.

They're made out of recycled plastic, right? I'm so afraid of sweaty feet for that reason

mrsmeesiecks OP t1_jbn5ovo wrote

Sure enough, I forgot about that. Definitely explains the smell problem, they do make my feet sweaty. Worth it tho!

I bought a beautiful pair for my wife and she wants to love them, but can't. She gets blisters. You think this is due to size issue alone? I'd hate to spring for another, larger pair, with the same results. Did the smaller ones give you blisters by any chance?

mrsmeesiecks OP t1_jbpdjxs wrote

I wish I could say, I only bought the bigger size. I also bought them used (don’t judge) so I may have never had issues because someone else broke them in for me

fubar6 t1_jbporyt wrote

Ohh I will judge. How dare you buy an item that's made out of recycled plastic second-hand?! I'm all for it!! Thanks for the info.. perhaps someone experienced the blisters and will let me know.

Haha that’s a much better way to look at it! Buying shoes secondhand feels like it’s probably gross to most people, I know my mom judges me haha

And you know they will

Thanks for this, that’s what I was coming to ask. I’m a size where 5.5 is too small and 6 is too big and never in my life would it have occurred to me to order a 7, so I appreciate the heads up.

Other people have also said that the chart online is accurate, so that may help find the best size too!

I have 7 pairs currently and you just persuaded me to buy more.

My oldest pair is 5 years now and I wear those the most. They look impeccable even after all this time.
