The only downside of this jacket is the pocket situation. It has one center pouch pocket under the zipper, and it has one left hand pocket both Velcro and zip. It’s a little bit weird, but from an ergonomic standpoint for rowing it actually makes sense.

You typically don’t wear a life jacket while rowing. I rarely ever accessed my pocket on the water, but the reason it’s a pouch is the oar will get caught and rip the sleeve style pocket on a hoodie.
