That bag is made from pig leather. Still durable but much thinner and less structured. I haven’t seen any particularly good or bad reviews on it.

Do these bags usually have any form of back support? Or is it basically a sack which you could feel the contents of against your back?

Best analog I could think of is a non waxed canvas backpack. Just a sack on your back

That's a big oof. I have purchased a nice looking canvas bag before and I'm disappointed with how uncomfortable it is. You could just feel its contents protruding against your back with no support whatsoever. Guess it's not for me then.

Yeah. Depends on what you are carrying. When I’m carrying bumpy or heavy loads, I always grab my goruck gr1. Excellent bag and I’ve never been able to justify the cost to get a leather one because of how good it is.

I've heard nothing but great things about Goruck bags from lurking a bit in this sub, and while I have no doubt that they are great, they look too utilitarian/tactical for me.
