Jiffy makes a great clothes steamer, I believe you can buy several attachment heads including a carpet attachment

I have had an Enviromate Viva steam cleaner for about ten years. It is a dry steamer which makes it much better than the wet steamers which just make a mess and don't kill germs like the Viva. I use it on hardwood floors, window glass (has attachment squeegy), countertops, inside the microwave and anywhere that needs sanitizing especially in hard to reach areas in the bathroom. No harsh chemicals needed. One of its better tricks is blowing the grit out of the bottoms of window frames. It has performed flawlessly for ten years. It is not cheap. They currently retail for a little over $900.

Tenico S3/5.

Cleanest my floors have ever been and that’s after mopping and steam cleaning. As for longevity, time will tell.

Check out Dupray, a European brand. I got the Home model in 2018 and it's still doing well, and has lots of attachments. I've been very disappointed with Bissell and Shark products in the past and would not buy them again. The exception being the Bissell Green Machine big ol' carpet cleaner which has actually lasted. But that's top of the line Bissell so it BETTER last! :)

EDIT: At a glance, the Dupray Home looks comparable to the Enviromate Viva someone mentioned earlier, but for 1/3 the price. I'm sure the EV is a notch above, but I've been pleased with the Dupray, which is definitely a few notches above Bissell.
