Wanted to get an opinion on Thursday boots , just pulled the plug on a pair for me and my partner ..
What do you guys think. I live in a rainy area.. But i have tons of shoes to roll over .. But an occasion splash should not be a problem i feel ..

What are your opinions? This is my first boot and wanted to wear it for fall and may be early winter(isn't too cold here in seattle) / dry days.

Honestly I haven't found anything that beats them for value. I've had 2 pairs (scout and captain) for about 4 years.

Both have held up excellently. I wear the scouts 2x per week to the office. The left shoe has developed a slight squeak but otherwise is fine.

I wear the captains a lot in the fall and winter. They are the natural color and still look great. I get lots of compliments on these. However, the left boot sometimes gives me aches in the arch of my foot. It's random. It may be fixable with a thin insole.

I have thursday sneakers. They're great! They do require a bit of a break-in period.

With thursdays you get a lot for the money, the boots will serve you many years. But it's a good idea to not wear them every day, as with any shoe they last even longer if they have the time to properly dry off.

I like boots and try different brands. Just recently I got some Jim Green chukka shoes and am very satisfied with them. Amazing value shoes... Considering ordering their chelsea style too, but the african ranger is so cool as well. I like how wide their last is.

Hi can you post a link? I’ve got a few pair of La Canadienne boots and they are great.

I love my Thursdays stuff, but their quality changes batch to batch. I have some shoes from them with leather midsoles which are awesome, but I also have other pairs that shipped with fiberboard midsoles and lasted 5 months. I reached out and basically they said they build shoes in batches based off of what they can source and what their design is at that time so quality can really vary.

Yeah I don't think they are quite as good as my Allen Edmond McAlisters, which i also wear to work, but the AEs are also $200 more than my Thursday scouts.

The Thursdays scouts have been amazing for $150 though. I would totally buy them again and risk a weird batch.

You are supposed to ask, then buy. Why are you doing things assbackwards?

What, exactly are your questions? What are your opinions is vague. My opinion is you should have bought you and your partner shell cordovan Alden Indy boots. And that statement does not serve you well as I don't know what the question is.

I have a pair of Thursday captains about two years old, laces just snapped replaced with some leather laces. Great quality. Just saddle soap cleaned and shined up for a wedding weekend. Have worn almost daily drivers in fall winter for a snowy northeast climate. Have done almost no maintenance other than laces. Probably next year will invest in some cleaning waxing oiling etc but might just take to a shoe shop to support local business
