Looking for an easy to bring don’t take a lot of space travel bath towel that can be reused for maybe days without washing, absorbing and dries fast, also made of antibacterial material? Anybody has some recommendations? Think I read somewhere that linen does good job? What are y’all thoughts on this? Thank you!

Sea to summit Tek Towel.

I bought mine before 2010 and used it for about 4 years constantly while I was in Asia and now still regularly. It's a smaller one and I like to use it at home for my long hair, because it soaks up a lot of moisture and dries quickly.

It still looks and feels like new after >10years.

Turkish bath towels. Large enough to lay out on the beach. Tight knit so sand shakes right off. Packs up to the size of an average shirt in my bag. And dry so quickly! I use them at home now to save dryer cost.

Cotton linen towels. Absorbs good, dries fast. Light and easy to fold or roll. Don’t use synthetic fiber towels

I agree with this. I have an older viscose one, I’m not sure they still make them in all sizes.

Alternatively, a washcloth of microfibre. It’s small, but very absorbant.

Linen does a great job, somehow stays fresh for longer than cotton in my experience. The fibers are a bit rough compared to cotton, and I actually prefer that.

I have a flat weave one that packs down really small but will probably take a waffle weave one next time as I enjoy the fluffiness.

From my experience if you are staying in hotels, airbnb’s or hostels then don’t bother. I may be biased as I travel light but I found they felt terrible on the skin, weren’t very absorbing and just took up space. I ended up ditching mine a couple weeks in.
