Unless you need to blend nuts and seeds, I’d say a jar.

Otherwise, do you have a full size blender that offers a small personal jar?

I have used a Braun hand blender with attachments for 20+ years and it hasn't failed me. There's also less plastic involved if you don't need the containers.

Not kitchenaid - I’ve gone thru 2 of them.

I've had the ninja food processor since 2013 and I use it often. I got it as a wedding gift.

I love my nutribullet. You can get half size cups to go with it.

What do you mainly use it for?

I make my own breadcrumbs, my dried herbs, tomato sauce , homemade salad dressing, veggies , protein shakes .

If it can handle bread crumbs that's my kind of mini blender. I'll have to look for one of these

Love my kitchenaid mixer too. Bought it in 2005 and make buns 1-2x a week.

I upgraded to the 6qt (refurbished cause I'm cheap) and it's already saved me what I spent on it in bread. I never want to bake without the thing. I keep think of getting the grain grinder for it, but I'm worried I'll burn out the motor.

Twinsies - mine is a refurbished 6qt too. I bought it off the kitchenaid site 2005 when I went down to Minneapolis. Kitchenaid won’t send mixers over the border must pay much $$$ up in Canada. There 8qt are close to $1000 up here.

Bit costly but so worth it - Bamix. Swiss made, powerful and so many uses! Strong motor.

The SliceSy attachment makes it a really nice food processor / “mandoline” type chopper.

I have a new one, but probably same model. Good advice, it seems pretty solid and it's 100x easier to clean than a traditional blender.

Second looking into Ninja. I'm a small appliance destroyer. I received a Ninja blender as a gift around 2016 and it's designed well. It's used regularly for smoothies, soups, marinades, and occasionally for frozen mixed drinks. Fingers crossed, it's showing no signs of wear or weakness anywhere.

Do you have the same model or are most of the motors on them solid?

its not mini, but an Oster "Beehive" blender has lasted without fuss for me - about 15 years now. use it every day.

Mine is a CT650 blender. I assume it's one of their more basic blenders. It's full size and not a food processor, so probably not what you're looking for, but the motor is strong and the moving bits and plastic parts aren't wearing out at all. I feel like it's solidly designed and if I were in the market I'd definitely look at their lineup.

Vitamix blenders are unkillable (and if you manage to, the company does repairs). Don't think they make minis though. You can find them used.

For food processors, Cuisinart does pretty solid.

A stick/immersion blender is good to make dressing in small quantities. I have an ancient bamix about 22 yrs old that I got from my mom, one button died but the other still works.

I just bought a Beast blender. Supposed to have more powerful motor. Price is higher.
