They're going to fight over it when you're dead. Find another one.

I remember that Panasonic sharpener from elementary school. It was the best pencil sharpener!

The sound it made brought me right back

I can hear this picture and it brings me back to childhood. Also, the freshly sharpened pencil smell.

Wow, I remember having one of those Panasonic sharpeners in my 3rd grade classroom.

Sorry but standard pencils that need sharpening are NOT BIFL. Eventually they are sharpened down to nothing and must be thrown out. Sad.

I've had a close relative of the Panasonic since the 1970s. Still working perfectly.
takecarebrushyohair OP t1_iuudsu9 wrote
This is definitely something they don't make like they used to

I can hear both of these sharpeners right now. Great find on that Panasonic.

I couldn't believe no one had got it yet, they must have just put it out.

I wonder if Sharp made a pencil sharpener.

I have a blue version of the Panasonic at my desk. Works so much better than the electric ones you buy today. I also have an older US made Boston sharpened that still works great.

Pretty sure my parents still use their '80s Panasonic sharpener. Nice finds!

I hate you for finding this first

We used that Panasonic in a bowling alley (manual scoring). Fifty pencils a day for ~eight years, replacements never held up as well. Fantastic finds.

I waaaant your Panasonic. Had one in architecture school, why did I ever get rid of it?

Have a slightly older Panasonic sharpener I snagged from grandmas house after she passed. Hubs thought I was crazy. It's older than that one and still runs beautifully.

There is just something about the quality of the Japanese built sharpeners

Who needs the panasonic... Just hook a power drill up to the Boston and go brrrr
takecarebrushyohair OP t1_iuw0him wrote
Lol I'll use both

I was mostly joking haha. Both of those bring back the elementary school memories. Certainly a good find for $3!

Ooh I’m jealous! We had two of the Panasonic ones at work, one of them recently kicked the bucket. I tried to fix it but think it burned out. The other is still running smoothy decades since it was purchased

I worked for the drivers examiners in my state and people took the written test with pencil. They were constantly being sharpened there.

That Boston one brings back a ton of school memories, pretty sure the ‘50’s ones were still used in my school in the ‘70’s.

I still have one from when I was a kid. At least 20years now.
