Cool - they seemed like they lacked tread for anything other than dressier purposes. Do you have a pair?
Irish setter? Thorogood?
I bought my Danners on Amazon but i think they are over your budget.
So glad I stumbled along thorogood
I’ve hiked in my captains, they did well and were quite comfortable for me!
I’d spend $100 more and go with some redwings if you can find them on bezos land.
That $100 usually gets you a hell of a lot more boot.
Thorogood for sure.
Setter is way over OPs budget.
An alternative to Thoro would be Belleville or Breville or something idr, but it's a very common boot from back in the day issued to the people in the air force walking in hangers all day before they cheaped out. I'm sure a quick Google would pull it up. Mine held up great, were fairly comfortable (ordered too small, I now know, so could be amazing for all I know) and it gives you a different style option. I think I had a brownish cherry that looked somewhere between a dressier boot and a combat boot.
FWIW the Thoros I'm wearing currently have a thin toebox for my duck feet lol
I did think that, but Amazon had a couple pairs under £200 so thought I’d mention it.
Edit: breville do toasty makers I’m sure lol
To be fair I forgot to mention my Breville were acquired from Amazon but still direct from Breville storefront. I think they were RIGHT around 200.
I second Danner. I have a pair of winter boots that have lasted me over 10 years. They have zippers on the side, one of which have busted (I tied them way too tight). But other than that, great boots. The Vibram soles last forever.

For 200 I’d say probably Thursday boots
