Yup. You can see from the photo, this humble canvas belt was made in USA

And you kept the tag all this time?

No way a tag like that survives regular use to be legible after 6 months.

Not sure what's up with taking a picture on the dog.

I agree. This belt isn’t worn much. Regular use over 20 years would’ve faded that print into nonexistence. Also, any canvas belt that is infrequently worn can last forever, as they don’t have many wear points to degrade to begin with.

The tag survive because it was all curled up at the buckle end and hiding behind a strap. I never washed this belt btw. My Dog has beautiful fur, I always like to take a pic of stuff with my pup as a background

Thanks. 10% of my wardrobe are made by Structure, Gap etc from 20 years ago and they all last and some are repurposed until now

I have a bunch of old Structure stuff and remember how disappointed I was when I went to buy more and it was nothing like the quality I was used to

I remember back when Structure was the expensive version of GAP. Aren't they both owned by the same company?

I think so now. But I have an awesome pair of Structure leather shoes made in Italy

Yeah, I actually found about the brand when I unfurled the tag. It was all rolled up hiding behind a strap at the buckle end.

You gave me flash backs. I remember in the 90s/early 2000s gap had great quality as well as doc martens.

Is it really buy it for life if it’s never been used?

I think, as long as you don't throw away such belonging for a long time and use it once in a while, the belonging will qualify as BIFL.

In my case this GAP belt been with me through two continents and four house moves.
