I wouldn't bet on that. Gerber sells loads of models made in china these days. They used to be one of those brands where you knew no matter what if you bought a Gerber you were getting a quality product. Well, just like most everybody else they shipped off majority production to China and now only their most expensive items are still being produced in the USA.
Buck knives has done the same thing and in my opinion it is an absolute disgrace.

Id have to disagree, I grew up having people steer me away from their products because they where low quality. The stuff they produce now is a wide range of qualities, but you will always get what you pay for. Unlike leatherman or buck that dont always honor their warranty and are overpriced as all hell.
