Need Recommendations

Hi there! I don’t expect to have these items for life but I am looking for high quality t-shirts, long sleeve shirts, turtlenecks, and winter boots. I am a woman and live in a cold winter state so id love either some specific recommendations or brand recommendations. Thanks!!

Depends on what graphics you want, but I have a handful of tees from Topo Designs that have graphics on them. They are by far my highest quality T shirts, the fabric is nice and thick.

Any graphics should be fine for me. I just don't want shirts that don't have any drawing haha

I haven't bought from them but everyone is saying uniqlo has great quality. They have some graphic tees as well.

If you prefer boxy T-shirts as opposed to fitted, then COS heavyweight t shirt is totally worth the money. Many shops do such shirts for men, but I had to search long and hard to find one for women. It is true to size for size M.

ONS is a men’s store, but that shouldn’t matter for t-shirts right? Stands for One nice shirt, they make very nice t-shirts that last forever. I have been wearing only their t shirts for about 10 years and they do not stain or get rips, or loose colour from wash. They are also very soft. Once you try their t shirts you won’t want to wear other brands. Most of the brands people have listed are durable, but not comfortable.

Depending on how cold, Steger Mukluks are a good option. They are great for winter where it’s not slushy snow, but mostly dry snow. They aren’t waterproof but will keep your feet warm and they are light and comfortable.

My mother has a pair that she has had for 25 years, and I saw her a few days ago I thought thought she bought a new pair. She recently resoled them, but otherwise the leather is still prime. And they are made in Ely, Mn!

Everlane has some amzing, durable, basics that are going on 3 Canadian winters for me now. Just ordered a Pima Cotton turtleneck during their sale along with a few longsleeves, and I plan to layer them under thicker sweaters when temperatures will hit -20°C and up! Great buys! If your climate is even colder than QC, I would suggest wool base layers from Icebreaker ir Smartwool ! I have a few pairs of their gear and use them almost daily when I go on walks!

Absolutely love my joules harbour tops. Wear and wash/dry at least weekly, and a after a couple years they still look new. I can’t find anything similar in quality…

I’m not sure if they ship everywhere, but my favourite high quality ethical brand is AYM Studios. They’re based in the UK, and their tops in particular are excellent quality. Their stuff is usually double layered sustainably sourced bamboo fabric and they are incredibly supportive to the point I can happily wear them without a bra. The double layering also makes them an excellent choice for cold weather. I currently have 2 of their short sleeve fitted t shirts, a wrap top, 2 long sleeve crop tops and I’ve just ordered a new turtleneck they’re taking pre orders for.

Their styles definitely won’t be for everyone though as they’re all very fitted designs. For loser fits I’d also recommend Organic Basics, Everlane and Uniqlo.

You'd have to look at them online - they're sold by several stores - find pieces that would fit what you're looking for, and then see what they're made of. Just enter "Cuddl Duds" into an internet search - lots of options for them will come up. Especially Kohl's, if you're in the U.S. Big sale on them at Kohl's.

Carhartt or Duluth are economical... Duluth is a bit more look for sales.... I also like Lands End. If you're a "big guy" or a big "fat" then Duluth T's are money... they are super big. A XL in Duluths T-shirt fits way better than a T-shirt from other manufacturers. I like Lands End button up's for work.

Outdoors-themed stores (LL Bean, Eddie Bauer, Orvis, REI, Cabela’s, army surplus, etc.) are usually a good place to find high-quality shirts. Winter boots too, though shopping around for the best price is worth doing.

You are asking a generalized and vague question which will lead you in circles and not get you the answer that you seek.

We need a budget. $1000 boots are a thing and fine for some and not for others. Along with this, a look/use case would be nice as there are turtlenecks and fashion turtlenecks and turtlenecks for warmth.
