We've had our tan microfiber covers for 4+ years and they are still in great condition. They've been washed (machine wash, air dry) a few times as needed. We don't eat on the couch or let the dog up there but we're not gentle either.

Yea I have kids with markers and they’re menaces. We’ll buy new covers in the future once that stage is over

One of the times our covers needed to be washed was from markers. 😂 Fortunately for us, they were the washable kind so it came out easily.
