I grab them when I can find them since they’re not made in the US or of this quality anymore. Sometimes you need more than one if you bring more than one hot thing out to the fish house or camping (coffee and soup for example). I would like to gift a couple to my son when he’s old enough and I always like having spares of a great thing if I can help it. One day I may run one over with the tractor by accident or worse, it will get stolen, and I’ll need a replacement.

What about the new Chinese ones do you feel isnt at the same quality level?

Thinner stainless, likely a lower grade or poorly alloyed stainless, and not charcoal filled liners anymore. Also, poor quality control and checks (at least this used to be the case. I can’t speak to the newer ones).
