Too bad there are no model pics with either of these. How do they fit below the knee?

With Patagonia you have to scroll down more—there are a few pics. And this shows the REI pants on a model: https://www.refinery29.com/en-us/shop/product/hyperaxis-fleece-pants-women-s-107687. I find the Patagonia pants fit closer at the ankle whereas REI is a straighter cut—but still not boot cut or overly loose around the ankle.
