Trying to find well made, comfy, cold weather leggings that have a cell phone pocket for my female SO. She'll mostly be wearing them for lounging, errands, and chasing toddlers. I'd like to keep it under $100 if possible.

It gets to about 10°F a couple of times a year here and she's generally a very cold person.

I've heard great things about icebreaker leggings, but I can't seem to find ones with a pocket.

She's not especially hard on clothes like I am, but I'd like to get her two pairs that she can rotate and they'll last for years.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Woolx leggings. A little spendy, but so comfy, don't need to wash them as often. Light but warm and a really solid pocket on each side. This is a great gift idea!

Probably not BIFL, but Senita Athletics Thermal Warm Leggings are affordable, super comfy, and have pockets on both sides. I'm a dog walker and these are the only leggings I wear for winter walks.

My partner has some of the Outdoor Voices FrostKnit leggings and they are warm. They have pockets, but they aren't great pockets. YMMV. Outdoor Voices stuff is certainly the closest to BIFL I've seen for leggings.

Athleta Altitude leggings. They list at $99 but they often have sales. I have several pairs that have held up for 3 winters without stretching out. I don’t know if they’ll last forever but they are by far the warmest pants I own. I’m comfortable to about 20 degrees, then I add a base layer and have been comfortable down to -5 degrees F.

Oh and they have pockets!

I also tried many cheap brands and $$$ Woolx leggings but they lost their shape and started to sag quickly.

I've not found any leggings that are substantially better in quality based on price. Some leggings hold up longer than others. I've tried many and it seems random.

I've been wearing these fleece lined leggings for two years now and they are still in great condtion. Mostly wearing around the house, on walks, running errands. Nothing crazy.

I have 3 pair and they are all still in great shape after 2.5 winters.

Edit to add: They have a great phone pocket on the side and a key pocket in the waistband.

I live in Minnesota and I'm a big fan of Patagonia's R1 Daily Bottoms: https://www.patagonia.com/product/womens-r1-daily-bottoms/40545.html. A smidge over your budget, but you can find them on sale (I think I paid about $75 for mine). Patagonia of course has their ironclad guarantee, and I've made use of that in the past; when I finally killed a rain jacket, I brought it in asking if it could be repaired and because it could not be, they replaced it.
Also really like REI's Hyperaxis pants: https://www.rei.com/product/177406/rei-co-op-hyperaxis-fleece-pants-womens?sku=1774060003. In one of my friend group texts, they're known "the Magic Pants."

Consider children clothing if she isn’t super tall or anything. Way more likely to have pockets and probably cheeper for the same quality.

Pact (wearpact.com) pureactive pocket leggings (they also have pureactive without pocket so be careful when ordering) are awesome!

I’m actually in the market for these as well and I’m just starting my search. So far, I’ve found these a Duluth Trading (in no particular order):

There are a few others on the site that are made from the same materials, but different cuts, and there are some that are similar but not as well-suited for colder weather.
